Gift Guide: Non-Toy Christmas Gifts for Kids

If you are anything like me as a mom, then you’re probably sick of the toys allllll over your house. So this year, instead of adding to the chaos, I’m going to try and do a toy-free Christmas for our kids! I know toys can be the go-to gift, but the more I’ve thought about it and talked to other people, the more things I come up with that aren’t toys that my kids would be STOKED about! So I compiled them all so we can all do a toy-free Christmas if we like!

Tonies Box

This was one of, if not the most suggested item! I’ve never used one, but everyone seems to love them!

Yoto Mini Player

A close second in recommendations. I think this one is better for kids maybe ages 4+. I’m thinking of getting one for my 4 year old.

Dress Up Box

I think this is such a fun idea & opens the door to so much open play as your kids play pretend. These are some dress up items my kids would LOVE. Rapunzel Dress, pack of capes, doctor kit, firefighter uniform, or this box with princess dresses!

Color Happy Subscription with Coloring Supplies

Rad & Happy is a mom owned brand I have followed for YEARS. She is an amazingly talented designer & illustrator who has a monthly coloring page subscription that is SO CUTE. Gift a pack of coloring pages or a printed certificate with a big pack of crayons and you’ve won Christmas!

Craft Bin

Get a bin like this one and fill it with construction paper, egg cartons, pipe cleaners, stickers, crayons or washable markers, string, kid scissors, MakeDo cardboard tools(these things look AWESOME), masking tape, googly eyes, glue sticks, or anything like that that your kids will exercise their creative muscle and come up with something. My daughter could do this for hours and I am always so impressed with what she comes up with!

Apron & Baking Mixes

My kids love to help me in the kitchen! Whenever they see me making something, they run to get their aprons to come help. These crossback aprons are my favorite because they don’t have ties! gift them with some cookie or muffin mix & you’ve got the perfect gift!

Tickets to a Movie Date with Mom or Dad

Check Costco for deals on movie gift cards & tickets! Henley got to go on a daddy daughter date to the movies a couple months ago and still talks about it. She had so much fun and that quality time is so needed!

Membership to a local zoo, science center, children’s museum, etc.

See if your area has a Get Out Pass! That’s a great budget friendly way of being able to do lots of fun things on a budget. I’m working on getting a discount code for it, so I will update this if I do!
